Please discuss Cova Psychology fees upon appointment enquiry.
Rebates can be claimed through Medicare, reducing your out-of-pocket costs. 20 sessions can be claimed every calendar year. Medicare rebates will be discussed with you prior to making an appointment.
To be eligible for a Medicare rebate, you will need to be referred to Cova Psychology by a GP or psychiatrist. As part of this process, your GP will complete a Mental Health Care Plan. Let your GP clinic know that you are seeking a Mental Health Care Plan when you book your appointment so that extra time can be allocated for the appointment.
Your GP will then either provide you with the referral, or send it directly to Cova Psychology. If the referral has been passed to you, bring it to your first appointment.
For more information about Medicare please visit the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Private Health Fund Rebates:
Cova therapists are registered with most private health insurance companies. Rebates for private psychological sessions vary greatly between health insurance providers. Many insurance companies require their clients to have used their allocated Medicare sessions before allowing claims for private psychological cover. Check with your health fund for details.
Other Providers such as NDIS, Workcover, TAC
Cova Psychology is a registered NDIS provider, and most of our therapists are able to provide services funded by a range of third parties including Work Cover and TAC.
