The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) aims to support Australian’s living with a disability by enabling access to treatments for improving both physical and mental health. Treatment providers through the NDIS offer services designed to maximise quality of life whilst also promoting independence and a sense of empowerment in NDIS participants.
Cova Psychology is a registered NDIS provider, and as such our therapists are able to provide their services under the Therapeutic Supports category of the NDIS.
Our therapists are passionate about working within the NDIS because improving mental and emotional health can have a profound impact on the lives of participants. Therapy can often span a wide range of target areas including improving mood, increasing independence, building confidence, and increasing social and community supports.
Cova Psychology specialises in the treatment of psychological trauma, and in particular, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Some NDIS participants attend Cova with a specific goal to address traumatic experiences which are continuing to have an impact on their wellbeing and capacity to function.
