Kelly is a Senior Counselling Psychologist who has spent the last 7 years working across Community Health and Private Practice settings. She sees adults and adolescents with a variety of client presentations including:

  • People who have experienced psychological trauma
  • Post-traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Complex Trauma
  • Grief/ and loss
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Borderline personality disorder/traits
  • Dissociation
  • Disordered eating and body image concerns
  • Identity and sense of self issues
  • Stress and emotional dysregulation

Kelly provides a safe and non-judgemental space for clients to explore and clarify their concerns while also drawing on evidence-based techniques to assist clients to work towards their goals. Kelly has a strong interest in complex trauma and attachment concerns and strives to understand clients’ symptoms within the context of their family and community.  

Outside of work, Kelly loves being social and spending time with her partner, friends and family, mostly over delicious food!

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science (Major in Psychology)
  • Post Graduate Diploma of Psychology
  • Masters of Counselling Psychology

THERAPEUTIC APPROACHES

Kelly’s approach is warm,  client centred, and trauma informed. She works collaboratively with her clients by tailoring therapy to their presenting concerns. Kelly uses range of evidence based therapies which include:

  • Mindfulness based therapies
  • Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
  • Internal Family Systems
  • Eye Movement and Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)
