Bree Buck

(she/her)
I can offer you a safe space where we can collaboratively turn our attention inwards towards your internal world using a curious, non-judgmental stance. We will observe and try to understand your current concerns in light of your past patterns informed by clinical interventions & research. I am passionate about the process of empowering you to find your own path towards living your values.

I am a Clinical Psychologist and enjoy working with a wide range of clients groups, providing therapy that improves and protects mental health, increases well-being, and optimises quality of life. I’m passionate about working with neuro-divergent clients who identify as having different wiring be that Autistic, ADHD, AuDHDer (ASD and ADHD) or and learning challenges.

I work with adult clients on a variety of concerns including:

  • Anxiety Disorders
  • Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Phobias
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Depression
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Borderline Personality Disorder
  • Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Complex PTSD
  • Developmental trauma / attachment concerns
  • Self-esteem / self-identify work
  • Difficulty in regulating emotions
  • Feeling you have a limited space to reflect on your own needs
  • Feeling unsafe
  • Having a critical internal voice
  • Experiencing intrusive thoughts and dreams
  • Avoidance of your internal needs
  • Experiencing low mood, numbness, avoidance, or dissociation
  • Experiencing worry, hypervigilance, prolonged/unhelpful ruminations, as irritability
  • Experiencing unhelpful thoughts or intrusions about big T or small t traumas

  • Wanting to change patterns of unhelpful thoughts/ behaviours

I have worked in multiple settings with vulnerable members of society across the public mental health (community setting, inpatient unit, residential mental health facilities and NGO’s focused on victim survivors of sexual assault, Family violence as well as veterans) and now in private practice. My passion is to meet you where you are at, and collaborate with you on your therapy goals.

I am dedicated to providing a safe space for us to explore how your current symptoms are impacting you. I create this safe space by listening in a curious and compassionate way, and reflecting what I hear in order to make sure I understand the nuances of your experience. It is important to keep in mind that building trust can take time. This process will help us to work toward your goals.

In her down time, Bree enjoys riding her Dutch bicycle around and mindfully observing everything that passes her by, reading in coffee stores and in parks, and going for jogs.
