I am a senior clinical psychologist with experience in treating a wide range of mental health conditions including:
I became a clinical psychologist because I am deeply interested in how people see, feel and behave in the world. I enjoy helping people better understand themselves and others, and to become more engaged with, and resilient to, life’s challenges. I also offer after-hours (and before-hours) appointments.
I’ve worked in a range of mental health and community settings, including public and private hospital systems, and sports organisations. These experiences have helped me to quickly determine and deliver effective and tailored psychological treatment to those in need.
In my spare time, I like to cook up a storm, read crime fiction (Harry Bosch or Jack Reacher) or go on a bush walk.
A “therapeutic approach” is a helpful scientific-evidence based and flexible structure with which to view the world and guide therapy sessions. Often when people come to see a psychologist, they may be feeling overwhelmed or feel that areas of their life are in chaos. The therapeutic approach helps people start to make sense of that chaos, and move forward. Each person is different and unique, and as such, together we will tailor the therapeutic approach to you.
